Features > Hall of Fame
Sure, rock already has a hall of fame in Cleveland, but it was time for the EmpyreLounge.com to pay respect to the bands and artists that have helped shake our musical tastes. These artists have laid the foundation of the EmpyreLounge.com and are truley the reason we are still here. 3 artists will be inducted each year.
Jeff Buckley
Jeff Buckley
It was only fitting that the first entrant in the hall was Jeff Buckley. Buckley's short career only spawned one true studio releases before his tragic death, but Grace is arguibly one of the most important CDs of the 90s. His influence is still being felt as a new breed of singer/songwriters continue to move us.
Inducted: November 2005
Queen
Queen
One of the top 5 rock bands of all time is the second band inducted into the Hall. Queen's mark on rock is unquestioable as the band has been a factor for over 30 years. The tragic loss of Freddie Mercury to the HIV/AIDS virus has only strengthened their place in rock history, as the band continues to raise awareness for the virus that took their singer far too early.
