We recently had a chance to sit down with Chris Edwards, bassist of Kasabian, THE band that is breaking big. If you turn on your Modern Rock Radio, most likely you are going to be hearing Kasabian very soon. We got to talk to Chris before their sold out show at the Paradise in Boston. Give a Listen* as we talk about about their new CD Kasabian, trading music online, Coldplay, and the rebirth of the live show..*Windows Media Player 9 is needed to listen to this interview.

1. You guys have been on the road nonstop since touring the US earlier this year with The Music. How has it been going?

2. Is it important for you to break America and be big over here as well?

3. Have you seen a big difference in radio support from the US and the UK?

4. Some fans have been turned off by your confidence, but isn't that what you want in a band?

5. You are touring later this year with Oasis, how is that going to be?

6. You recently played at the Coachella Festival, how was that?

7. You have a lot of different elements on your cd. Was it difficult to translate that into your live show?

8. Now the director of the "Club Foot" video dedicated it to Jan Palach without your knowledge. Did you have a problem with that?

9.Who are some of the artists you are listening to now?

10.A fan is able to find some of your life shows available for download if they look in the right spots. Does that bother you? Do you see downloading in general as a problem?

11.A lot of the more processed artists are falling off the radar, but has brought about the rebirth of the live show. Are music fans smarter now?

12.The thing that jumps out about the record is with every listen, you hear different things popping out. How important was that?

13.Since you have been getting radio support, you are starting to hear more bands like Kasabian on the radio, the bands that have that big beat to their rock.

14.A thing that jumps out about the CD and hearing you talking about it, it seems you are really happy with how it turned out. Was it the CD that you thought it would be?

I want to thank Chris and the guys of Kasabian for taking the time to talk with me. It was great getting a chance to chat before the show and they really blow you away live, having seen them twice already this year, definitly looking forward to the next time. Keep your eye up for when they come to your town.
