THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM Announce New Record; Announce tour dates and pre-order info

Monday, June 16th, 2014

New Jersey rockers The Gaslight Anthem return with their eagerly anticipated new album, Get Hurt, on August 19 through Island Records. The news was announced exclusively on the band’s Facebook page this morning.

Recorded at the legendary Blackbird Studios in Nashville with producer Mike Crossey (The 1975, Arctic Monkeys and Jake Bugg), Get Hurt sees The Gaslight Anthem pushing their raw, stripped back rock ‘n’ roll into new territory, drawing on a fresh palette of influences ranging across folk, punk, and Americana. It is an album that is heavier, and yet at the same time more intimate, than anything they have produced to date.

Following the success of their 2012 album Handwritten — which charted in the Top 10 of the album charts across Europe and America, with the band playing Wembley Stadium, Glastonbury and Coachella along the way — The Gaslight Anthem’s fifth studio album perfectly shows them thriving creatively while pushing their horizons artistically. It is a record that oozes the confidence of a band at the very top of their game.

Get Hurt will be available on the following formats: standard CD, deluxe CD (with 12-page booklet and three bonus tracks), standard 180 gram 12″ vinyl, limited edition signed deluxe vinyl (three bonus tracks, 2 picture discs, poster). The album is available to pre-order through the bands website now. Fans can reserve their copy, and those that order through the store today will receive an early access code to buy tickets to The Gaslight Anthem’s upcoming fall tour.

Fans will get a first taste of Get Hurt today with the release of a minute-long promo video clip featuring the new song “Stay Vicious,” filmed by Joey Maloney, and showing a friend of the band’s antics while they were recording in Nashville:

Get Hurt will be available on the following formats: standard CD, signed deluxe CD (with 12-page booklet and three bonus tracks), standard 180 gram 12″ vinyl.

Rock band O.A.R. is having quite a month. June isn’t even half over and O.A.R has already been the house band for the entire hour on the “Today Show with Kathie Lee & Hoda” on June 3rd including a performance of their single “Peace” accompanied by the Mt. Carmel-Holy Rosary Schoolof East Harlem. Later that week, the band visited with thefamed Staten Island elementary school chorus at PS 22 in a rendition of “Peace.” The single is a bonafide hit at HAC and Triple A radio charts and they have a massive national concert tour kicking off this Thursday, June 12th with Phillip Phillips. To cap off an incredible month, the band’s new album, The Rockville LP, which is being heralded as O.A.R.’s best work in years, is available today.

Inspired by their hometown of Rockville, Maryland, The Rockville LP showcases a much more introspective and personal side to the band. Respected music critic Tom Lanham, with the SF Examiner said “Their jubilant new effort…is frothing with celebratory new anthems like ‘Peace,’ ‘Two Hands up,’ and ‘We’ll Pick Up Where We Left Off’ – tracks every bit as addictive as the No. 1 breakthrough single ‘Shattered (Turn the Car Around).'”

After a special in store performance for fans tonight at Vintage Vinyl in St. Louis, the band will go straight into final rehearsals for an epic, 26-date concert tour with Phillip Phillips, which kicks off Thursday in St. Louis and runs through the end of July, culminating with a date in Atlanta’s Chastain Park Amphitheatre. The band announced earlier this week that they have partnered with Habitat for Humanity with $1.00 from every ticket sold O.A.R. and Phillip Phillips will donate to Habitat.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, undoubtedly one of the most relevant and successful rock bands globally, dominated 2013 with the releases THE WRONG SIDE OF HEAVEN AND THE RIGHTEOUS SIDE OF HELL – VOLUME 1 and VOLUME 2. Both volumes debuted on the U.S. Billboard album chart at #2 (more notably, within a four-month period) and in the top ten mainstream charts all across the globe. The two albums feature two #1 radio hit singles (“Lift Me Up” featuring Rob Halford of Judas Priest and “Battle Born”) and have combined sales of over 600,000 units to date. The multi-million selling rock titans’ current single, “The House Of The Rising Sun” is their 13th consecutive top ten hit at Active Rock Radio.

USA TODAY proclaimed VOLUME 2 elevates the group “…to the top of its game. Offering more than blind rage, though there’s certainly plenty, the songs live in the tension implied by the album’s title—aware of the implications of lashing out, ready to accept the consequences” (11/19/13). Following Australia’s Soundwave Festival and shows across Japan and South East Asia, the band just concluded a sold out European headlining tour. FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH is Ivan Moody (vocals), Zoltan Bathory (guitar), Jeremy Spencer (drums), Jason Hook (guitar) and Chris Kael (bass).

VOLBEAT’s OUTLAW GENTLEMEN & SHADY LADIES has sold more than 300,000 copies in the U.S. according to Soundscan, alongside hundreds of thousands of digital singles. The Danish quartet received their first GRAMMY nomination in the “Best Metal Performance” category for “Room 24” (Volbeat Featuring King Diamond), and won Germany’s Echo Award for “Best International Alternative Act.” The band’s repertoire has become a staple at Active Rock radio, cementing their relevance with six consecutive #1 singles at the format. Their latest “Dead But Rising” recently hit the peak of the chart. Overseas, OUTLAW GENTLEMEN & SHADY LADIES has been certified platinum in their home country of Denmark, alongside Germany and Austria, with gold sales in Finland.

Since forming in Copenhagen in 2000, Volbeat has released five studio albums and two live offerings that have turned the band into superstars, collecting platinum discs and prestigious awards making them one of the most talked about bands around the world. OUTLAW GENTLEMEN & SHADY LADIES, debuted at No. 1 in Denmark alongside Canada, Germany, Norway, Switzerland and Austria. The new release saw a debut at No. 2 in Finland, No. 4 in the Netherlands and Sweden, and No. 9 in The United States. Volbeat is Michael Poulsen (vocals/guitar), Anders Kjølholm (bass) and Jon Larsen (drums), joined by former Anthrax/The Damned Things guitarist Rob Caggiano, who produced the new album with longtime Volbeat co-producer Jacob Hansen.

The upcoming tour marks Volbeat’s fifth visit to North America this album cycle. This past year, the band has been one of the largest touring draws on the European continent headlining both festivals and an arena tour, and they appeared at the major Japanese festival Summer Sonic 2013 in both Tokyo and Osaka. Cumulatively, Volbeat has performed for over a million fans since the current album was released.

After roughly eight years, three albums, countless tours as headliners and as participants on “can’t miss” festival bills and hundreds of thousands of albums sold, HELLYEAH is making their biggest and boldest statement yet with BLOOD FOR BLOOD (out 6/10/14). The lineup of Chad Gray (Mudvayne), Vinnie Paul (Pantera), Tom Maxwell (Nothingface) and Kyle Sanders (Bloodsimple) bring the sound their fans have been waiting for with the help of producer, Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch, In This Moment). They’ve exchanged some of the party-centric, good time sounds of past efforts for pure metallic fury and emotional introspection. The single “Sangre Por Sangre (Blood For Blood)” hit the Top 30 after only 2 weeks at rock radio. They pushed themselves to new limits, dared to embrace change and to take risks with their music by just doing what comes naturally.

Hailing from San Antonio, NOTHING MORE is part schizoid System Of A Down weird-isms, part Mars Volta-esque prog rock freak out, part effortless pop nous, that seamlessly barrel from churning headbang to skyscraping chorus and back again in the blink of an eye. They are equally able to dial down their bluster into deft moments of crystalline beauty when the mood takes them. Their self-titled album (out 6/24/14) that includes their Top 10 radio single “This Is The Time (Ballast)” is a gut-punching blend made all the more powerful by a keen lyrical sophistication and philosophical undertone, which marks them out from their contemporaries.

Sign up now for tickets via Deadline is Wednesday, June 4th at 11:59PM EST. Remaining tickets will go on-sale nationwide Friday, June 6th.

Her quadruple platinum single “Royals” holds the record for “Longest #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 by a Female Artist in 2013.” Her previous single “Team” was her second #1 on Adult Top 40, making her the first female artist in Billboard history to rule over the AAA Radio Airplay chart with two songs. “Team” also held the top spot for four weeks and landed at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 with over 1.7 billion in radio audience to date.

In January Lorde walked away with “Song of the Year” and “Best Pop Solo Performance” awards at the 2014 Grammy Awards and has since been nominated for an impressive 12 Billboard Music Awards and took home awards for “Best New Artist” and “Best Rock Song” for her debut single “Royals”

Lorde also performed her current single “Tennis Court” for the very first time on national television at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, held in Las Vegas.

Since its release in September 2013, PURE HEROINE has reached PLATINUM status and has sold over 1.2 millions copies.
